Start counting the days!  The 8th Annual Main Street Music Fest returns to OEC on Saturday, September 18 with 5 outdoor stages and 3 indoor venues hosting 40+ of the best indie artists from across the Mid-Atlantic.

The Main Street Stage in parking lot D starts rocking at noon and features favorites like Reverend Smackmaster & The Congregation of Funk, headliner Kelly Bell Band and many more.  Enjoy dozens of eateries and craft artisan vendors, as well as boutique wines and  Jailbreak Brewing Co. local craft beers.  There are fun new non-alcoholic options by Sobar too.  Family friendly fun abounds with free kids’ crafts by Howard EcoWorks and ECP.  Soundcheck Rock Academy kids play on their stage between the main stage acts.

More free kids’ crafts happen thanks to our friends at Club SciKidz at Thomas Isaac Log Cabin on Upper Main.  Next door find the Homegrown Stage in The Wine Bin parking lot.  Eating options, beer & wine and great music live there as well.  See beloved locals Work in Progress, Dirty Secret, headliner Foreplay and others.  Local beer and hard seltzer hail from Manor Hill Brewery.

More music awaits you on Main Street!  Outside the Welcome Center enjoy big band awesomeness by 20-piece Ain’t Misbehavin’ from 1 – 3 pm.  On Lower Main get your chill on with Aaron Hill Trio’s cool jazz 2 – 5 pm at the B&O Plaza.

Step inside any of our 3 indoor stages to enjoy classic rock, Americana or indie acoustic.  Indoor music hosts include: The Museum of Howard County History, La Palapa Grill & Cantina and Manor Hill Tavern.

Between acts stroll our streets, grab a bite, quench a thirst and pick up a must-have treasure at our 70+ awesome shops and restaurants.  Want an artsy vibe?  Meet local artists and see pottery and mosaic demos at the Artists’ Village located at The Clayground Studio & Gallery.  Kids’ favorite local artist Marra is the face painter, she’s on hand 12 – 5 pm at Clayground.

Some lucky festival goer’s rock & roll dream will come true thanks to our partner Paul Reed Smith Guitars.  PRS has graciously donated one of their beautiful custom CE 24 electric guitars and we’re raffling it off!  Raffle tickets are on sale now, or visit our merch tent in Lot D on the 18th.  Just in case you’re not the lucky one, pick up an MSMF 2021 t-shirt (with complete band listing on the back) OR the MSMF 2021 event poster as the perfect souvenir.  They’re available for advance purchase too.

Start planning your MSMF day.  Free shuttles run throughout festival day from outer county parking lots starting at noon.  Kelsey’s Irish Pub will also run their shuttle from their restaurant at 8480 Balt Nat’l Pike to town.  All shuttles are available 12 – 8 pm. Please note masks must be worn while in a shuttle. Uber and Lyft are also encouraged, with drop-off locations established at the east and west ends of town. Check out the festival and shuttle maps for stage locations, shuttle stops and more.

None of this happiness would be possible without the generous support of our festival sponsors and the positive anergy of our 100+ awesome volunteers.  Please help us show our gratitude by thanking and supporting them.

Our community is united in maintaining a safe environment.  All festival attendees must “Be vaxxed or wear a mask”!  Thank you for doing your part.
